Stage 1, is a big game of smash and dodge. Once you get out of that first room and unto the narrow walkway, you'll encounter two of the trickier crushers in the Mission. The first can be dodged with a fast character and timing. The second, however, cannot. Once one person has gone past it, however, it disappears, so hold up and let one sacrifice through to appease the crusher.
You'll encounter Sentinels twice on Stage 1; the first time right after the walkway and the second at the end of the Stage. Both times, you'll notice crushers nearby. Get the Sentinels chasing you and make a run for the crusher, timing it to dodge. In fact, you can clear a lot of enemies by luring them under the crushers. |
The first thing you'll notice, aside from the fact that you're in the Baxter District Subway station, is the massive crushers everywhere. In fact, Wolverine warns you about them right off, and they are a major factor in this Mission, since in some of the parts where they're really thick, you can easily be killed if you have a slow character. Aside from those, you'll face troublebots, crusher-bots, and Sentinels. Looks like the crushers aren't the only thing Juggy bought from Dr. Doom. |
Juggernaut is one of the absolute easiest bosses there is. No crushers here, little throwables, but a wonderful cheaty type device to help you take him down and out easy.
You'll see a large green circle in the middle of the floor.. this is your new best friend. Dodge Juggy's attacks, but try to stay in the circle, so he joins you there. Once he's in the circle too, stomp one one of the two pressure plates nearby, and Juggernaut's invention swoops in to snag his helmet and rip it off him. It leaves him vulnerable and completely preoccupied for several long seconds, and you have to love that. Just be sure to dodge as soon as his helmet is back on! |
Stage 2 takes place out on the streets. (Makes you wonder what the crushers are attached to now, right?) There are a lot more crushers now, but all of them are dodgeable, even the ones on the bridge near the end of the stage, if you time them right. Be wary of the blue Crushbots... they can knock you down and back, and easily into a crusher.
There are two rough spots on this stage. One just before the bridge at Stage end and one just after. Two Sentinels at each spot, lots of bots and troublebots (especially at the end point), and it's way too easy for the Sentinels to get you pinned and down. Just keep moving as much as possible, and try to keep behind them. |
Attacks and Cues
When he says "Take This." - He throws a large chunk of the floor straight in front of him a few feet.
When he says "Juggernaut Punch" - Rears back his fist, then punches forward and up, sending anyone in front of him flying.
When he says "Stop, Stop, Stop!" - Raises both fists in the air, then slams them down to the floor. Anyone nearby gets damaged and gets flung in the air.
When he leans down and scuffs his foot - He's charging! Get out of his way or get knocked back into the air and hurt.
Playing Tips
- Beware the Crushers! One of them, near the beginning of Stage 1, is unavoidable, but do your best to time the rest so you make it underneath unharmed.
- Try to stay behind the Sentinels. The ones at the end of Stage 2 are lethal; they can stun you and cause a lot of damage. Do your best to stay out of reach.
- Stay in the green circle for Juggernaut! If you stay in it, he'll be more inclined to come back in it. The minute he's in, dash for those pressure plates and start laying on the pain!
